The Before Pix - Inside Upstairs

The funny thing about buying a house....you never really know what you are getting until you move in and discover all the surprises that await you....

I've often thought that it's obsurd that one of the biggest decisions we make in our lives is done after spending less than an hour in a home before committing to buying it. Yes, I know it get's inspected, and yes it gets appraised, but neither address what it will feel like to live there. (one of the many soap boxes I like to jump on every now ant then, I'll step down now.)

Kitchen
Great Room

Master Bedroom
The Kitchen is tiny, certainly quite different from what I've had in the past.

I have to keep reminding myself, you are down sizing, you are down sizing....

The other part of me keeps screaming WHERE WILL YOU FIT EVERYTHING?

The Master is really very nice, it's spacious.

First Floor Bath
The only bathroom on the main floor. This house was built in the early 80's, and since it was supposed to be a "vacation" home, I guess they didn't see a need for a private master bath. This will take some getting used to for sure
Screen Deck off Great Room
Sun Room off Master

That pretty much covers the first floor, with the exception of the upper decks. One off the great room is screened in and has a wonderful view of the lake. We envision many dinners out in this room.

The other is off the master bedroom, it is glassed in and will be perfect for winter naps and reading.
